Professional Liability Underwriter

Overview

In this role you will underwrite and lead primary Professional Indemnity (PI) business from London, handling US and international client lines. You will negotiate with brokers and help grow a global PI book, including travel. The position sits in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team that values relationship-building and business development. You will shape the book by developing cross-border opportunities and managing a diverse PI portfolio within a supportive, inclusion-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and existing PI business, with emphasis on leading primary PI lines
• Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers
• Develop and expand PI business on a global scale, including travel
• Maintain and grow relationships with brokers and insureds
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support underwriting strategy
• Monitor risk, pricing, and policy terms to align with company goals

Key requirements

• Experience underwriting and leading primary Professional Indemnity (PI) business
• International and/or US PI exposure preferred; UK background considered
• Strong relationship-building with brokers
