Bid Manager – Civil Engineering

Overview

In this Bid Manager role, you will lead and coordinate pre-qualification and tender submissions for a Tier 1 rail and civil engineering contractor. You will work closely with the estimating and marketing functions to deliver high-quality tender outputs and compelling presentations. The position focuses on securing high-profile tenders while building strong client relationships under deadline-driven conditions. Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare pre-qualification submissions
• Lead tender submissions and ensure high-quality tender responses
• Produce Tender Quality Submissions including technical, QA, and program plans
• Create and present high-quality marketing and tender presentations
• Assist with PR, advertising, branding, and market research activities
• Coordinate with estimating team during tendering (excluding pricing)
• Gather feedback on tenders and drive improvements
• Represent the company to clients and the wider industry

Key requirements

• 7+ years post-graduate experience
• Previous Bid Manager experience for a main contractor in Civil Engineering & Infrastructure
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Proven success with high-profile tenders
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong client relationship building skills
