Overview
As Regulatory Lawyer, you will support a national Corporate Defence & Regulatory practice from Bristol, focusing on health and safety, product safety, and corporate defence investigations. You will handle advisory and contentious matters, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to crisis management and enforcement projects. The role offers a platform to shape compliance strategies and respond to investigations in a high‑quality, client‑facing environment. Responsibilities
- Health & safety advisory work including compliance, incident response, investigations and enforcement/prosecution support
- Product safety and product liability adjacent matters including recall strategy and internal investigations
- Food safety and regulated product compliance under heightened regulatory scrutiny
- Support on wider corporate defence matters including corporate manslaughter and coroner’s inquests
- Collaborate with colleagues across the national team to deliver strategic, joined-up advice
Key requirements
- Admitted in England & Wales (or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience
- Experience in Health & Safety regulatory work; exposure to product safety/recall and/or food safety advantageous
- Confident advising on investigations and enforcement facing matters with clear, calm guidance
- Enjoys collaborative working and delivers high quality client service
- Strong financial and case management skills
- Proficient with case management systems, electronic time recording and Microsoft Office
- Friendly, proactive, self-starting approach with excellent interpersonal skills
