Overview
As LCI Tax Manager/Senior Manager, you will own a portfolio of large corporate and international clients to deliver top-tier UK tax compliance and advisory services. You will integrate with the LCI service line to shape strategic plans, mentor junior staff, and drive growth through proactive tax planning and risk mitigation. You’ll handle complex issues such as Corporate Interest Restriction, residence and permanent establishment risk, and the Senior Accounting Officer regime, contributing to client proposals and cross-border matters. This role blends technical mastery with people leadership in a collaborative, growth‑minded firm.

Responsibilities
- Manage UK compliance cycles for large corporates and international groups, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met
- Advise on complex issues including Corporate Interest Restriction, corporate residence and permanent establishment risks, tax risk registers, SAO regime, tax strategy, group restructuring, cross-border transactions, and large corporate matters
- Contribute to strategic and business development plans within the LCI service line and mentor/train junior team members
- Drive growth by identifying tax planning opportunities, mitigating risks, and supporting high-value client proposals
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA, CIOT qualified or equivalent
- Corporate tax technical and practical knowledge
- Solid understanding of UK tax regulations affecting large and international businesses
- Experience with year-end tax reporting (corporation tax, deferred tax, accounts tax notes)
- Knowledge of other business taxes (e.g., VAT, Customs Duty, employment taxes) is preferable but not essential
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards and ability to interpret accounts and financial information
- Strong IT skills including MS Office and databases
