Overview
In this role you will join a growing Bristol corporate team as a senior associate, handling high‑level transactional work across national and international matters. You will develop client relationships, manage your own caseload, and contribute to the team’s expansion across offices. The role blends complex M&A, private equity, and corporate restructurings within a supportive, collaborative environment. You’ll drive quality advice and business development, shaping outcomes for entrepreneurs, SMEs and well‑known brands.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality legal advice and exceptional client service
- Manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Maintain strong financial management, including accurate time recording and WIP management
- Contribute to business development and client retention initiatives
- Keep technical knowledge up to date and maintain SRA competence standards
- Take ownership of your professional development and soft skills growth
- Support the wider team and collaborate across offices
- Undertake additional reasonable tasks as required
Key requirements
- 6+ years PQE in corporate law (flexible for strong candidates slightly below this level)
- Extensive experience across core corporate transactional work
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of client business needs
- Proven ability to manage transactions independently
- Excellent financial management and case management skills
- Confident with IT systems, case management tools, and electronic time recording
- A proactive, self starting approach with excellent interpersonal skills
