Senior Consultant, Regulatory Compliance

Overview

In this role, you apply your conduct risk expertise to help financial services clients meet regulatory obligations. You’ll join EY’s Newcastle team within the Consulting Service Delivery unit to deliver high‑quality, collaborative risk solutions and lead project teams. You will support suitability reviews, outcome testing, complaint handling, and regulatory mapping while upholding EY’s standards. Responsibilities

• Support clients with Conduct Risk or broader engagements in areas like suitability reviews, outcome testing, complaint handling, and regulatory mapping
• Manage productivity and quality expectations across engagements
• Mobilise and manage project teams following EY project management standards
• Design robust technical delivery and control processes
• Build strong client and colleague relationships to foster collaboration
• Prepare clear reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders
• Assist with bids, proposals, and engagement management, including finance tracking and resource planning
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and support training initiatives

Key requirements

• Relevant regulatory experience in financial services compliance and/or enforcement
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Willingness to be present in Newcastle office as required by business or client demand
• Familiarity with project management or supporting team initiatives (preferred)
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members (preferred)
• Proven analytical, communication, and writing abilities
• Ability to work independently and in diverse teams
• Proven QA and quality assurance capabilities
