Overview
In this role you drive revenue by helping clients understand and apply S&P DJI data and index solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to win new business and expand licenses, while building lasting relationships with investment banks and asset managers. You’ll shape go-to-market efforts, contribute to product- and IP-licensing discussions, and stay at the forefront of index innovations. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a new business plan to grow client licenses and meet revenue targets
- Learn and apply our sales process and product knowledge to differentiate our index data packages
- Prioritize opportunities to hit individual sales targets and contribute to team KPIs
- Expand the commercial footprint with existing clients and prospect new licensees by influencing decision makers
- Contribute to go-to-market documents and client dossiers to expand the pipeline and improve closure rate
- Assist senior team members in negotiating and licensing IP for investment banking uses (OTC, structured products)
- Learn to manage complex contract negotiation and collaborate with legal, product, and R&D to protect the brand
- Identify and address unlicensed data and IP usage opportunities; maintain focus on customer needs
- Provide focused service to clients, manage opportunities in CRM, and keep stakeholders updated on activity and competition
- Periodically brief sales leaders on licensing activity and market insights
- Work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week
Key requirements
- 2–5 years of commercial experience in financial services
- Results-oriented with experience in long-cycle, complex sales and licensing
