Overview

In this role you drive delivery of a global Group Data Programme, combining programme leadership with strong data platform literacy. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across data architecture, engineering and governance to align with regulatory and business priorities. You’ll shape priorities, manage governance and stakeholder relationships, and ensure sustained delivery through pragmatic, value-driven approaches. Your work will sit at the centre of commercial, regulatory and operational priorities within asset management, delivering measurable outcomes on complex data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the programme’s delivery, resourcing and budget accountable to the sponsor
  • Manage proactive stakeholder engagement with Business Heads of Data, Data Office, and Global Technology
  • Maintain and apply delivery governance aligned to AMP standards and Global Technology lifecycle
  • Coordinate Group Data Strategy & Execution forums and escalate updates to Group Data Council
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies; remove bottlenecks to maximize value
  • Capture and analyse delivery metrics to inform stakeholders and substantiate progress
  • Balance multiple initiatives, ensuring transparency of work and cross-team collaboration
  • Navigate governance structures and maintain momentum across cross-functional teams
  • Apply agile and pragmatic delivery approaches suited to the context

Key requirements

  • Experience leading multi-skilled teams to a shared outcome
  • Ability to influence engineers, QAs, analysts and stakeholders in agile adoption
  • Strong knowledge of data platforms (Snowflake, Collibra, Solidatus) and cloud features (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives and stakeholder collaboration
  • Tenacity to remove delivery bottlenecks
  • Experience creating and using delivery metrics; understanding leading vs lagging indicators
  • Knowledge of full software development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication and influence with senior stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in technology change delivery within a large, global, regulated financial services organisation
