Finance Director, INPP (International New Product Planning)

Overview

In this role you will provide strategic financial leadership for Vertex’s International New Product Planning function, partnering with senior operational leaders to guide decision making across the NPP portfolio. You will own planning, forecasting, business case development, and scenario modelling to support international growth and product launches. You will ensure accurate financial reporting and governance while driving financial discipline and value drivers at scale. You will champion AI and advanced analytics to improve forecast accuracy and speed insight-led decisions. This role offers visibility to executive leadership and a chance to shape the international expansion of Vertex’s NPP.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior finance business partner to commercial leadership and cross-functional teams to shape strategic decision-making
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and long-range planning to optimize P&L for short- and long-term decisions
• Develop business cases, scenario models, and portfolio prioritization to support investment decisions aligned with strategic objectives
• Anticipate risks and opportunities in pre-launch planning across international markets while ensuring internal controls and compliance
• Promote adoption of AI and advanced analytics to improve forecast precision, planning efficiency, and rapid insights
