Non-Contentious Construction Associate/Senior Associate

Responsibilities

• Lead and support workstreams on major UK and international projects across energy, infrastructure, data centres and commercial development
• Draft and negotiate construction agreements (JCT, NEC, bespoke contracts) and related documents
• Advise on professional appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees, security and long-term operational agreements
• Assist developers, sponsors, funders, contractors and public sector clients on procurement and risk allocation
• Support complex development and regeneration projects across mixed-use schemes
• Collaborate with Projects, Energy, Real Estate, Corporate and other teams on multidisciplinary transactions
• Take ownership of matters with direct client contact and contribute to business development and client relationships

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 4-6 years’ PQE
• Strong experience in construction and engineering projects, preferably across energy, renewables, power, utilities, infrastructure, data centres and/or commercial development
• Excellent drafting and negotiation experience across JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts; FIDIC, EPC, EPCM or international project exposure advantageous
• Strong understanding of legal and commercial issues in major construction and infrastructure projects
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build client and project relationships
• Commercially minded, organised, proactive in client development and able to manage multiple workstreams
