Overview
In this role you will oversee day-to-day plant operations at the Bangor site, driving production efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvements. You will lead a diverse team and collaborate with engineering, supply chain and QA to achieve site goals. You will monitor KPIs, implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You will contribute to operational excellence as a senior member of the Plant Leadership Team, shaping the site’s performance and culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing facility operations
- Manage and coordinate all production and warehouse activities
- Ensure safety, policy, and industry compliance
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and raise product quality
- Monitor KPIs and identify improvement opportunities
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing production team
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance to meet company goals
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and manufacturing-related reports
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent
- Promote Operational Excellence across production teams
- Support site leadership as a senior member of the Plant Leadership Team
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree a plus
- Strong leadership with proven track record in manufacturing management, process improvement, and team development
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
