Overview
In this role you help shape hydropower and dam projects for Stantec in the UK, contributing to design and development of cutting-edge solutions. You join a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outputs that meet client outcomes and business benefits. You will engage across advisory, design, remediation, and due-diligence activities, including Owner’s Engineer duties and contractor-facing design work. You’ll support sustainable energy initiatives while collaborating with clients and internal disciplines. This role offers exposure to flagship projects and growth in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, technical leaders, design engineers, and clients to achieve positive project outcomes
- Engage in advisory roles, Owner’s Engineer duties, client-facing concept design, contractor-facing detailed design, remediation, troubleshooting, installation support, and Lender’s Engineer/due diligence support
Key requirements
- Experienced Civil Engineer with hydro/pumped storage or dam design experience
- Chartered or Incorporated with ICE or working towards
- Experience in civil design of dams, hydro schemes, or hydraulic structures
- Ability to produce technical specifications, designs and reports and to integrate with structures, geotechnical and M&E disciplines
- Comfortable with 3D design and common data environment
- Knowledge of end-user and D&B design contexts
