Overview
As a Project Manager within the Transmission & Distribution team, you lead HV/EHV infrastructure initiatives from design through energisation across the UK. You collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients to deliver safe, on-time, and within-budget projects. You will shape electrical solutions for grid connections, substations, and related assets, driving performance and governance on complex schemes. This role offers growth in a growing T&D team and hands-on exposure to major UK power projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions from project requirements
- Deliver HV and EHV projects across cable, overhead line, plant, and civils disciplines
- Ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met
- Coordinate internal teams, contractors, clients, and external stakeholders
- Act as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer where required
- Manage commercial interfaces and external service providers
- Support projects from feasibility through commissioning and energisation
Key requirements
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or above
- Experience delivering HV/EHV projects 33kV–400kV
- Proven track record managing substation projects through full lifecycle
- Knowledge of AIS & GIS substations, protection & control systems, transformers, cables, and overhead lines
- Experience managing CAPEX and customer connection projects
- Knowledge of CDM regulations, health & safety, and project governance
- Ability to review and interpret technical design documentation
