Overview

As Tax Manager in London, you shape tax strategy for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, blending strategic planning with hands-on advisory. You’ll navigate UK and international tax complexities, partnering with cross-functional teams to translate regulations into actionable guidance. You’ll lead complex project delivery, design scalable tax structures, and mentor colleagues while collaborating with external advisers. This role offers high-impact work at the intersection of tax, finance, and entertainment, with the opportunity to influence how a global content business grows. You will drive proactive responses to evolving tax laws and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, business-partnered tax advisory support across EMEA for content acquisition, production, licensing, and distribution activities
  • Identify, evaluate, and advise on tax implications of new initiatives, restructurings, and cross-border transactions
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of tax solutions for complex problems with clear benefit trade-offs
  • Design long-term tax planning strategies balancing immediate needs with compliant structures
  • Partner with transfer pricing, indirect tax, withholding tax, and other specialist teams for holistic advice
  • Manage relationships with external advisors and authorities as needed
  • Drive process improvements and operational excellence within the tax advisory function
  • Monitor UK and EMEA legislative developments and propose proactive responses

Key requirements

  • Professional tax, accounting or legal qualification (CA/ACA/CTA/CIOT or similar)
  • Experience in a direct tax role in a multinational and/or professional organization
  • Experience in corporate taxation in a corporate, public accounting, or major law firm setting
  • EMEA-focused tax experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
