Overview
In this role you will shape and lead a best-in-class HR Operations function across a global, multi-site workforce. You’ll report to the HR Director and work with senior leaders to align operations with growth and transformation objectives. You will drive process optimisation, governance and employee lifecycle excellence, leveraging data and technology to deliver a high-quality service. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership position within a respected international education group, offering impact at scale and the chance to influence the operating model globally.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the global HR Operations strategy to deliver a scalable, commercially focused people service.
- Oversee onboarding, contracts, payroll governance, benefits, mobility, records, and offboarding across the employee lifecycle.
- Lead a high-performing HR Operations team focused on accountability and service excellence.
- Drive optimisation of HR systems (SuccessFactors), data management, and people technology infrastructure.
- Establish robust governance and compliance with employment law, GDPR, safeguarding, and policies.
- Partner with senior leaders to support growth, transformation, and workforce planning.
- Lead HR transformation and change initiatives to streamline processes and improve employee experience.
- Utilise analytics and workforce data to influence decisions and strategic objectives.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for value and quality.
- Contribute to the People Leadership Team and the overall people strategy.
Key requirements
- Experience at Head of HR Operations, Senior HR Operations Manager, or equivalent in a large, multi-site organisation.
- Experience leading HR operations in complex environments with 1000+ headcount.
- Strong knowledge of HR operations, governance, employment legislation, and lifecycle management.
- Proven track record in transformation, process improvement, and service excellence.
- Experience building and developing high-performing operational teams.
- Strong commercial acumen balancing strategy and delivery.
- Expertise in HR technology, data governance, reporting, and analytics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and senior-leader partnership skills.
- CIPD qualified (Level 7 preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
