Multi Skilled Shift Engineer – Electrical Engineer Bias

Overview

In this role you will deliver multi-skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance for Mitie clients, ensuring reliable, safe operation of plant in an active environment. You will work within a cross-functional team to perform installations, diagnostics, repairs and calibrations, while upholding safety standards and housekeeping. The position offers exposure to diverse equipment and clients, with opportunities for career development in facilities management. This role combines hands-on engineering with safety leadership to support client operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations and assist with wiring, calibration and alignment tasks
• Conduct testing, fault diagnosis, repairs and updates to maintenance work orders
• Maintain, repair and calibrate electrical, mechanical and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability
• Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain housekeeping, attend toolbox talks, and coordinate with contractors or external suppliers

Key requirements

• BS 7671 (18th Edition) in Electrical Installations (qualified)
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant and controls
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures
• Self-motivated, well-organised and eager to learn
