Associate Electrical Engineer

Overview

As Associate Electrical Engineer, you will lead MEP projects within a growing Manchester/Leeds practice and help steer the Electrical team. You’ll drive innovative design solutions, manage client expectations, and foster relationships with contractors and architects. You’ll work on commercial, higher education, and healthcare schemes, contributing to large-scale project delivery. Responsibilities

• Lead electrical-focused MEP projects and participate in project leadership for the Manchester & Leeds area
• Steer the electrical team on assignments and promote growth within the team
• Engage directly with clients to present design solutions and manage expectations
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, contractors, architects and developers
• Manage workload of engineers and technicians to ensure timely delivery
• Prepare technical specifications for projects
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD in design and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-end projects

Key requirements

• 8+ years’ building services experience
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Experience leading the electrical team and project leadership
• Strong client communication and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to oversee workload and coordinate engineers and technicians
• Experience preparing technical specifications
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
