As Chief Technology Officer, you will lead the combined engineering organization through a period of ambitious growth and AI-driven transformation. You will unify two legacy platforms, define a modular, scalable architecture, and mentor a cross-functional team to operate at the frontier of AI-enabled product development. This role shapes the technical strategy, risk management, and culture needed to deliver durable competitive advantages. Responsibilities

  • Lead adoption of AI-augmented development workflows across the engineering organization
  • Mentor engineers, product managers, designers, and business operators in AI fluency and new ways of working
  • Foster a culture of continuous experimentation and rapid shipping
  • Unify two legacy platforms into a coherent modern architecture for all customer segments
  • Own security and infrastructure posture amidst AI-driven risk
  • Collaborate with the CPO to shape a technical strategy for AI-assisted discovery, research, and transactions
  • Identify underinvestment areas (data, infrastructure, APIs) and roadmap improvements
  • Guide post-merger integration, deciding what to consolidate, rebuild, or retire
  • Provide data-driven input to the product roadmap and strategy for scalable discovery, pricing, and logistics

Key requirements

  • Led engineering organizations through significant change (post-acquisition, rapid scaling, or retooling)
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI into engineering workflows
  • Strong architectural judgment to evaluate AI-generated vs. traditional solutions
  • Bias toward speed with ability to clear obstacles and set a high tempo
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfort discussing revenue, margins, and growth in relation to engineering investments
  • Experience with security and infrastructure in AI-enabled contexts
  • Familiarity with two-sided marketplace dynamics (nice to have)
