Manager, Product Control, Capital Markets (London)

Overview

In this role you will lead analytical support for the Capital Markets’ RMG Product Control team, ensuring timely P&L production, reconciliations and risk reporting. You will act as the main point of contact for Front Office queries and drive accurate valuation and MTM analysis. You will improve processes, support regulatory reporting, and ensure the alignment of figures with the systems of record. Responsibilities

• Daily P&L production, month-end reporting and reconciliation
• Primary point of contact for Front Office queries and issue tracking
• Daily valuation and MTM movement analysis”, including impact of new deals, amendments, cancellations, yield curves, volatilities, convexity, rate resets and time decay
• Proactively monitor operational, valuation and risk management issues for trading portfolios
• Communicate Daily/MTD/YTD results to Desk Head and explain variances with sign-off
• Prepare monthly accounting entries to the G/L and reconcile to systems of record
• Support statutory and regulatory reporting and Head Office templates
• Identify opportunities to improve valuation and risk reports and streamline processes
• Perform daily P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations tied to systems of record

Key requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a Capital Markets environment, supporting a trading desk or product control
• Excellent MS Excel, Database and SQL skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Advanced understanding of procedures and controls related to trading systems and workflows
• Nice-to-have: Derivative Fundamental Course
• Nice-to-have: CFA candidates or charter holders
