Category Analyst

Overview

In this role you will analyse sales and category performance to uncover growth opportunities and shape product ranges for customers and channels. You’ll work closely with Category Managers on strategy, NPD and range-gap projects, bringing data-driven insights to commercial decisions. You’ll use Excel and Power BI to translate data into actionable recommendations and collaborate with suppliers, customers and internal teams. This position offers a clear path toward category management leadership within a food-focused portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Analyse sales, category and product performance to identify opportunities
• Shape and optimise product ranges for different customers and channels
• Support category reviews, NPD and range-gap projects, including Own Brand
• Use Excel and Power BI to convert data into commercial insights
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to understand trends
• Participate in product launches, category marketing, supplier events and trade shows
