Overview

In this role you will support the Sub Agent and Shift Manager on NT-related works within HS2 Main Works, ensuring activities align with project requirements and safety standards. You’ll manage setting-out, quality control, and documentation while maintaining strong liaison with the Client and JV partners. You’ll contribute to sustainability and regulatory compliance, helping to keep the construction programme on track. This position offers the chance to work on a high-impact, iconic infrastructure project and to progress within Skanska’s collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sub Agent and Shift Manager with setup and execution of NT-related works
  • Ensure works comply with project requirements and health and safety, reporting non-conformances
  • Carry out timely setting-out and quality control procedures to avoid delays
  • Review and be conversant with drawings, specifications and related information, seeking guidance as needed
  • Maintain strong working relationships with the Client and JV partners, aiming to exceed expectations
  • Understand and implement Environment and Sustainability policies and statutory requirements applicable to the discipline

Key requirements

  • Engineering degree or HNC in construction discipline
  • 2+ years of Civil Construction Industry experience
  • Relevant CSCS card
  • Survey/Setting Out experience
  • IOSH or SSSTS
  • Tunnel Safety Training Scheme (TSTS)
  • 2+ years’ experience with SCL or tunnel construction techniques
  • Knowledge of tunnelling, mining, geotechnical engineering would be advantageous
