Finance Business Controller

Overview

As Finance Business Controller, you will partner with the Marketing Director to steer financial planning, budgeting and forecasting across the business unit. You provide profitability insights, support investments, pricing, and promotions, and deliver regular reporting and business cases to guide decisions. You will help shape financial processes and ensure robust data management and cost control in cross‑functional collaboration. This role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on financial steering to support growth and efficiency within a trusted brand. A key objective is to enable informed, data‑driven decisions in line with Miele’s Immer Besser philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the business unit
• Provide strategic guidance on profitability, pricing decisions, investments, and performance improvements
• Prepare regular reporting, business cases, and financial recommendations for decision-making
• Evaluate investments, ROI, and promotional activities with pre- and post-analysis
• Contribute to development and improvement of financial processes and reporting standards
• Ensure accurate financial data management, rebate management, and cost control
• Coordinate forecast and budget cycles and support strategic initiatives

Key requirements

• Degree educated or professionally qualified in finance, part qualified or fully qualified
• Proven experience as a Business Controller or Finance Business Partner in a consumer products environment
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to translate financial insights into practical recommendations
• High analytical capability with proactive mindset to identify issues and manage financial risks
• Experience managing financial data, leading finance projects, and collaborating with senior stakeholders
