Overview

In this role you will shape and coordinate Digital Information Management and governance across Scotland-based transmission projects, delivering reliable data insights to support delivery and handover. You’ll work with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to raise information quality and ensure compliance with ISO 19650. You’ll build dashboards and reporting to drive informed decisions and continuous improvement. This is a key position enabling successful asset handover and data-driven project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage Project Information Management per BS EN ISO 19650 and project requirements, including EIRs and related plans
  • Embed contractual digital delivery requirements and provide guidance on information governance and data management
  • Promote digital assurance, metadata standards, naming conventions, and governance across the asset lifecycle
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions; identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Oversee CDEs, support model-based review, and assist digital information coordinators and project information officers
  • Coordinate with legal, commercial, procurement, and contractors to ensure information governance and digital delivery
  • Support integration across Autodesk Forma (ACC), ArcGIS, Maximo, Microsoft Fabric, Oracle Unifier and other systems
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation and reporting in information management
  • Ensure project information quality and auditable documentation throughout delivery and handover

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience in information management, BIM, digital delivery or data management on major infrastructure projects
  • Practical application of BS EN ISO 19650 across project lifecycle
  • Ability to manage metadata, governance, quality and digital handover
  • Advanced Power BI and Excel skills; ability to derive insights from complex data
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with digital modelling tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Fuzor) on infrastructure projects
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, systems integration, automation, GIS, SQL or Python (desirable)
