Overview
In this role you support the public family law team at a Birmingham firm, handling diverse casework and representing clients through proceedings. You will manage cases, prepare documents, and liaise with the Legal Aid Agency, contributing to high-quality family law service. You will work closely with colleagues and external agencies to achieve favorable outcomes for vulnerable clients. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of public family law matters
- Advise and represent clients throughout proceedings
- Prepare legal documents and court bundles
- Attend court hearings and instruct Counsel when required
- Handle Legal Aid matters and liaise with the LAA
- Work closely with colleagues and external agencies
Key requirements
- 5–10 years PQE
- Experience handling public family law matters
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Knowledge of Legal Aid processes
