Overview

In this role you join Arup’s MEICA team to deliver electrical and control system solutions for energy, water and resources projects. You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable designs that meet quality, programme and budget targets. You’ll apply your electrical and control design expertise across a varied portfolio, including renewable energy, water treatment and industrial infrastructure. The position offers exposure to high-impact projects aligned with a low-carbon and equitable future. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to winning and delivering UK projects in Energy, Water and Resources sectors
  • Develop innovative and sustainable electrical and control systems designs
  • Produce and interpret detailed design documentation and drawings
  • Support project delivery to quality, programme and budget requirements
  • Provide guidance on electrical and control systems design to multi-disciplinary teams
  • Engage with clients and teams on renewable energy, water treatment and industrial infrastructure projects

Key requirements

  • Strong background in electrical design within Energy, Water, or Resources sectors
  • Ability to produce and interpret detailed design documentation and drawings
  • Experience with design tools and software (e.g. Trimble)
  • Specialist knowledge in electrical and/or control systems engineering
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects and knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; professional registration (IEng/CEng)
  • Eligible UK Driving license preferred; security clearance advantageous
