Overview

As Global Supply Chain Manager, you shape and raise supply chain performance across SPX’s global footprint. You will lead strategy, governance, and cross-functional planning to support growth, resilience, and new product introductions. You’ll partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Product Management, Sales and Project Management to align supply chain with commercial goals. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy across the business and align with operational and commercial objectives
  • Lead and support site supply chain teams with effective processes, routines, and governance
  • Develop, monitor and report supply chain KPIs (delivery, supplier quality, inventory, purchase price variance, freight, etc)
  • Drive supplier and supply chain performance (cost, quality, delivery, inventory, capacity, risk) and build strong partnerships
  • Lead supply chain improvement initiatives (cost reduction, supplier development, inventory optimisation, value engineering)
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks focusing on continuity of supply and market volatility
  • Utilise ERP/MRP systems and data to manage demand, purchasing, inventory, forecasting, and reporting
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Operations, Product Management, Sales and Project Management to support planning, make-versus-buy decisions, NPI and long-term growth
  • Coordinate across UK, US and Canada production sites to improve alignment and resilience
  • Support production locations with measurable performance improvement

Key requirements

  • Senior supply chain, procurement or operations leadership in manufacturing or engineering (≈3 years)
  • Experience developing and implementing supply chain strategy and performance improvements
  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, planning, supplier performance, and operational delivery
  • Experience managing KPIs, forecasting, risk, cost reduction and continuity activity
  • Strong ERP/MRP experience, ideally IFS or equivalent
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams
