Overview
In this role you will drive financial control across refurbishment and retrofit projects for a growing London contractor. You will partner with project and leadership teams to manage pre-construction cost planning through final accounts, ensuring value and commercial targets are met. You will work on cost planning, tender analysis, contract negotiations, budgets and cashflow, with a focus on safe, high-quality outcomes. This is a growth‑minded opportunity to shape commercial delivery across traditional and design‑and‑build contracts. Responsibilities
- Support pre-construction process including cost planning, tender analysis and contract negotiations
- Manage project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting
- Prepare and agree subcontractor packages and manage subcontractor accounts
- Monitor and manage variations, change control and risk
- Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Work with project and site teams to achieve commercial objectives
- Build and maintain strong client and supply chain relationships
Key requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline
- Minimum 5–6 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
- Experience on refurbishment and retrofit projects preferred
- Strong understanding of traditional and design-and-build contracts
- Excellent written, numerical and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with ability to manage tasks end-to-end
