Quality Engineer

Overview

As a Quality Engineer, you will drive QA and compliance monitoring for the Apache AH-64E Platform within the Rotary Wing Enterprise. You will ensure adherence to regulatory approvals and maintain the BDUK QMS across maintenance activities at Middle Wallop. Working with the Vertical Lift Quality Team, you will support audits, corrective actions and continuous improvements to enable growth across UK Defence programs. This is a hands-on role with a clear impact on safety, regulatory compliance and program readiness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QMS assurance through engagement with aircraft maintenance functions
• Conduct internal audits per the MRP Part 145 and AS9110/AS9100 schedules
• Assist in audit preparation with QA Manager and Lead for external audits
• Develop compliance responses and corrective actions from audit findings
• Maintain regulatory approvals by monitoring compliance with standards
• Support expansion of approvals and accreditations for new platforms and programs

Key requirements

• Ability to obtain UK SC clearance
• Aviation quality experience in regulated aerospace maintenance
• Internal auditing skills with formal aviation standards audits
• Mobility to travel across UK sites

• MAA regulations knowledge including MAOS, CFAOS
• AS9110C, AS9100D, ISO 9001 quality systems expertise
• Apache platform familiarity with rotary-wing aircraft systems
