Overview
In this role you will provide consistent HSQE guidance across RES UK&I, focusing on development and construction. You will support the Lead HSQE Manager to align HSQE performance with industry practice and legislation. You will lead audits, incidents investigations, and training-related activities, driving continuous improvement. You will work with cross-functional teams to simplify processes and embed a strong HSQE culture. This is an opportunity to shape safety and quality outcomes across a growing renewables portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead HSQE Manager to maintain compliant and high-quality HSQE performance
- Provide HSQE advice to business units and undertake audits
- Contribute to the development and improvement of HSQE management systems
- Review risk assessments, procedures, method statements, and training materials
- Analyse HSQE trends from incidents, audits and inspections and present findings
- Conduct regular site HSQE inspections and incident investigations
- Prepare workshop materials and facilitate HSQE communications
- Engage with contractors and clients and assess supplier HSQE management systems
- Support competency development and training programmes
- Prepare regular HSQE reports to management
Key requirements
- NEBOSH Certificate or Equivalent
- Knowledge of UK&I Health Safety and Environment Legislation
- Quality Audit training (UKAS or equivalent)
- Understanding of the construction industry
- Understanding of behavioural safety programmes
- Experience with audits and HSQE management systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with regulators, clients, contractors and suppliers
- Decision-making based on analysis and judgement
