Overview
In this role you will manage the commercial delivery of drylining packages from procurement through final account, collaborating with site management, design, and the commercial team to keep packages on budget and properly manage risk. You will engage with subcontractors, prepare valuations, and report project performance to the commercial lead. The position sits at the intersection of commercial and site teams on London projects, offering exposure to both residential and commercial schemes. It provides a clear progression path toward Senior QS/Commercial Manager and the chance to influence a strong project pipeline.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the full commercial cycle for drylining packages, including procurement, valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts
- Prepare applications for payment, negotiate valuations with main contractors
- Produce monthly CVRs and report project performance to the commercial manager/director
- Take off quantities and price variations / change control as they arise
- Manage labour-only and supply-and-fix subcontractor accounts
- Assess entitlement under JCT/NEC and advise on notices/claims
- Coordinate with site managers to track progress against programme and resolve commercial queries
- Support estimating with historical cost data and benchmarking
- Maintain accurate records for variations, instructions, and correspondence
Key requirements
- Proven QS experience within a drylining, partitions, or interior fit-out subcontractor
- Strong knowledge of SFS, GRG, and drylining systems and how they’re measured/priced
- Working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contract forms
- Experience managing subcontract accounts and final accounts
- Strong Excel skills; experience with cost management software (COINS, CMAP) desirable
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience (MRICS desirable but not essential)
