Overview

In this role you lead privacy and data protection engagements within EY’s Cybersecurity Consulting Practice, shaping client privacy programs and data governance. You’ll manage engagements, mentor junior staff, and help develop go-to-market materials. By working with cross-functional teams, you support multi-discipline client solutions across privacy, governance, and cyber security initiatives. This is a chance to influence how organisations manage privacy risk while contributing to EY’s broader security transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and manage stakeholder relationships to deliver on time, quality, and budget targets
• Oversee day-to-day delivery across a portfolio of engagements and contribute to engaging client reports
• Contribute to practice growth via thought leadership and industry events/public speaking
• Collaborate with prospective clients during planning and delivery phases
• Create high-quality reports for engagement leaders and clients
• Identify sales opportunities and assist with proposals and marketing material
• Mentor and develop junior team members and lead by example

Key requirements

• Experience in privacy and data protection engagements within a consulting or professional services setting
• Ability to assess designs, deliver reviews, and support remediation and multi-year programmes
• Experience across risk management, regulatory reporting, and compliance assessments
• Broader cybersecurity experience beyond privacy (transformation, architecture, resilience)
• Experience delivering complex client solutions or proposition development

• Excellent written and oral communication tailored to diverse audiences
• Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with high-quality outputs
• Privacy tooling (OneTrust, BigID, Purview, Trust Arc)
