Overview
In this role you lead the electrical design and delivery for high-profile projects within a multidisciplinary MEP team, ensuring feasibility, detailed design, and client satisfaction. You act as a project delivery lead, supervising engineers and coordinating with stakeholders to meet internal KPIs. You will champion sustainable design and modern methods of construction, while representing WSP to clients on mission-critical projects. This role combines technical leadership with business development and team development in London.

Responsibilities
- Provide design and technical guidance in a project manager capacity within the MEP team
- Supervise detailed designs and oversee junior staff
- Lead project feasibility studies and production of detailed/performance specifications
- Serve as the client’s main contact and ensure delivery against client deliverables and KPIs
- Support business development by maintaining client care and promoting capabilities
- Manage production of specifications and ensure project contracts/LOIs are in place
- Oversee resources, staffing, H&S, quality, and development within the discipline
- Lead and participate in regular team briefings and stakeholder communications
- Represent WSP in client-facing roles and lead engineering delivery with innovative, sustainable solutions
Key requirements
- Working knowledge of UK electrical building services design, including relevant standards, codes and regulations
- Ability to manage technical, cost, and programme aspects of project delivery
- BPSS security clearance (minimum requirement)
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex projects
