As a Commercial Property Lawyer in Swansea, you will handle a varied caseload for a broad client base, supporting the growth of a regional law firm’s high-performing property team. You will lead lease, acquisition and development work, while advising on land and property finance and due diligence. The role offers meaningful client relationships, mentoring opportunities and the chance to contribute to strategic growth. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload on commercial leases, landlord & tenant matters, and licence work
- Advise on estate management and ongoing property issues
- Handle acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold properties
- Support development projects (site acquisitions, options, planning, plot sales)
- Oversee secured lending, real estate finance, and renewable energy projects
- Provide property due diligence support to Corporate team
- Manage complex matters like title issues, enfranchisement and portfolio transactions
- Mentor junior team members and ensure regulatory compliance
- Drive efficient file progression with strong billing and client service
- Foster client relationships and aid business development
Key requirements
- 2-5+ years PQE in Commercial Property
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer (England & Wales)
- Ability to manage own caseload independently
- Strong technical knowledge across commercial property matters
- Highly organised, proactive, fast-paced environment suitability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong client-focused mindset with attention to detail
