Overview
In this role you will act as a technical expert delivering accurate estimates for Ireland bids and supporting the bid pipeline. You will collaborate with design, construction, and procurement teams to shape winning tenders and establish a best-in-class tendering framework. You drive construction efficiency and profitability by introducing innovative methods and ensuring clear, KPI-driven reporting. Responsibilities
- Provide estimates for Ireland bids to support design and construction teams
- Input into head contracts, subcontracts, procurement, budgeting, cost control, and project cash flows for tenders in Ireland
- Develop construction management framework for tender activity in Ireland with focus on KPIs and client deliverables
- Coordinate with tender design team to align proposed changes with client specifications
- Support pre- and post-design/construction development phases and resource/subcontractor reviews
- Assist Bid Project Director in developing a winning tender strategy and integrated project controls system
- Monitor bidding procedures in the UK & Ireland and mentor UKIE bidding team members
Key requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, construction management or related field
- Extensive experience in an estimation role in Water, Ports or Maritime and/or Tunneling and Rail infrastructure industries
- Experience in a commercial construction environment with multi-disciplinary technical exposure
- Desirable experience with large-scale complex infrastructure projects
- Experience managing multi-faceted major construction compliance and regulatory requirements
- Able to coordinate project and site meetings with tender teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with client focus
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Conflict and dispute resolution with stakeholders
