Overview

In this role, you will manage complex pensions calculations for DB/DC schemes and supervise junior colleagues to ensure accurate, high-quality administration. You’ll support clients across retirements, transfers and deaths, driving process improvements and coordinating workload within a hybrid, multi-site team. You will apply pension legislation and WTW guidance to deliver reliable service and participate in project-based work to broaden client impact. This role offers exposure to a wide range of pensions projects and opportunities to mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Process complex pensions calculations and queries across various case types (retirements, transfers, deaths)
  • Check and guide junior colleagues to ensure first-time-right output and SLA achievement
  • Act as escalation point for technical issues, non-standard cases, and member complaints
  • Apply pension legislation/regulations and WTW guidance to day-to-day work
  • Support Team Leader in meeting service levels and coordinating workload
  • Coach and mentor juniors to develop team knowledge and capability
  • Identify service improvements and drive process enhancements
  • Assist in complex and project-based work as needed

Key requirements

  • DB experience essential in pension administration
  • Experience with retirements, transfers, deaths
  • Knowledge of pensions legislation/regulations and applying changes
  • DB manual calculations proficiency
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Ability to manage high volumes with accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with Excel and Word
  • Experience coaching/supervising less experienced colleagues
  • Hybrid/multi-site team experience advantageous
