Quality Engineer

Overview

In this contract role, you ensure the quality and completeness of handover documentation for clean water infrastructure projects. You work closely with project, engineering and construction teams to maintain accurate quality records and ensure documents meet standards. You will review and manage documentation across the project lifecycle, support QA processes, and help resolve quality issues to enable smooth project handover. This is a chance to contribute to major water sector projects with a strong emphasis on quality and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, management and close-out of handover documentation
• Maintain accurate quality records throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure documentation meets required standards with project, engineering and construction teams
• Review quality documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance
• Monitor document progress and identify outstanding information for handover
• Contribute to quality assurance processes across clean water infrastructure projects
• Support resolution of quality issues and ensure corrective actions are recorded
• Communicate with internal teams, subcontractors and wider project stakeholders

Key requirements

• Experience as Quality Engineer or similar in civil engineering or water sector
• Understanding of quality management systems and construction documentation
• Knowledge of civil engineering processes in clean water infrastructure
• Experience producing, reviewing and managing handover documentation
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to interpret technical information and maintain accurate project records
• Confident communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project teams
