Responsibilities
- Define and champion the programme vision aligned with client objectives
- Deliver major capital programmes across full lifecycle from business case to benefits realisation
- Provide visible leadership across multidisciplinary teams and establish governance frameworks
- Engage with senior stakeholders (C-Suite, Boards, investors) to secure alignment
- Oversee programme commercial performance, forecasting, and value management
- Lead health and safety risk strategies and ensure regulatory compliance
- Design robust governance, reporting, and assurance for effective delivery
- Drive business development and client partnerships for growth
- Develop talent and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering 250–500m+ high-profile, complex transformation/real estate programmes
- Strong project delivery background with progression to programme leadership in construction
- Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams across project controls, technical, and commercial functions
- Solid understanding of construction delivery models, procurement routes, and contracts (NEC, JCT)
- Excellent project controls knowledge (schedule, cost, risk management)
- Experience operating at C-suite level with advanced communication and data presentation skills
- Supply chain management experience, particularly Tier 1
- Strong stakeholder engagement with external partners and clients
- Expert practitioner of industry best practice programme management, preferably in real estate
- Experience with health and safety leadership and regulatory requirements (CDM, Building Safety Act)
- People management and talent development experience
- Familiarity with digital tools and AI strategy
- Degree/postgraduate/equivalent level in a relevant technical discipline; professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, APM); health and safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH)
