Production Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead liquid flavour production at the Runcorn site within the Site Senior Leadership Team, driving safe, compliant, and high-performing operations. You will deliver production plans, develop the team, and partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, NPD and EHS to enable continuous improvement and sustainable production performance. You will shape safety culture, quality, and cost control while supporting strategic site objectives in a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture and ensure Health & Safety compliance
• Drive production planning, resource management and continuous improvement
• Improve OEE, productivity, service levels and waste reduction
• Lead and develop a team of ~40 employees
• Ensure GMP, HACCP, BRCGS and customer quality requirements are met
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and CI initiatives to optimise processes
• Manage budgets and support site performance objectives
• Contribute to capital projects and long-term business growth
• Participate in site strategy as part of the SLT
• Collaborate across Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to deliver objectives

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, Operations Management, or related discipline
• Recognised Health & Safety qualification
• Demonstrable leadership experience managing large production teams in manufacturing
• Significant production management experience in food, beverage, flavour, ingredient, chemical, or related process manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and quality systems
• Experience of budget management and performance reporting
• Demonstrable experience driving continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
