Overview
In this role you will provide QA/QC support for major Defence Infrastructure projects, ensuring right first-time delivery through strong collaboration with the site team and suppliers. You will translate MoD requirements into supplier actions and capture learning from experience for future work. You will lead audits, monitor KPIs, and manage quality records and investigations to drive continuous improvement. This position offers exposure to high-safety, high-integrity projects within a top nuclear engineering group, with a clear impact on program success.

Responsibilities
- Provide QA/QC support to the project team for right-first-time delivery
- Flow-down quality requirements to supply chain and liaise with suppliers
- Lead internal quality and supplier audits and health checks
- Review project documentation (ITPs, Quality Plans, Specifications) for quality compliance
- Monitor KPIs and product quality verification activities across supplier sites
- Manage NCRs, defect notifications, and risk/opportunity tracking
- Coordinate Lifetime Quality Records content and final document packs
- Engage with Third-Party representatives and GQAR as required
Key requirements
- SC Clearance (or ability to obtain before starting)
- Industry-recognised auditor qualification (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead/Internal)
- HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Understanding and implementation of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems
- Experience in quality engineering across multiple projects/domains
