Overview

In this Front Office role, you will contribute to the global Derivatives technology platform, working with London, Serbia, and Pune teams to enhance front-office systems. You will own delivery planning, drive releases, and implement changes across the tech stack in a fast-paced trading environment. You will collaborate with trading desks, risk, and control functions to deliver robust, well-tested solutions. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape critical derivatives infrastructure and support the growth of Jefferies’ global derivatives business.

Responsibilities

  • Own cross-squad delivery planning across regions (London/Serbia/Pune)
  • Drive release planning, cutover readiness, and change management
  • Develop and enhance C#/.NET or Java front office applications and services
  • Design and unit test technical solutions from business requirements
  • Establish a delivery cadence with regular reviews for stakeholders
  • Maintain consolidated RAID log with owners, dates, mitigations
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and escalate with options/recommendations
  • Define scope with Trading/Risk/Control and ensure traceability from requirements to delivery
  • Support parallel runs and reconciliations with agreed tolerances
  • Participate in code reviews and project meetings
  • Report status to stakeholders and provide technical support to them

Key requirements

  • Experience in an object-oriented language (C#/.NET or Java)
  • Capital markets knowledge with equity derivatives or related areas
  • Experience with RDBMS (Microsoft SQLServer or MySQL)
  • Experience in real-time or near real-time trading systems
  • Experience integrating Quant/Analytic libraries
  • Experience with OMS and/or Risk systems
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code
  • Strong problem-solving and communications skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of coding and development processes
  • Bachelor-level education or higher
  • Self-starter and independent
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Collaborative and able to work with trading desks and control functions
