Overview

In this role, you will implement the Strategic Quality Plan and provide QA support to customers, suppliers, and internal teams. You’ll drive escalation and root-cause resolution of quality issues and support data-driven improvements. You’ll oversee QMS deployment, participate in new product launches, and lead audits and process capability activities. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met, contributing to aerospace quality leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Strategic Quality Plan with plant leadership
  • Provide QA interface to customers, suppliers and internal cells
  • Lead complaint resolution and root-cause/corrective actions
  • Collect and analyze quality data; implement QMS policies and best practices
  • Solve technical product/process problems using structured methods (8D, Six Sigma)
  • Develop and improve Quality Management Systems for new products/processes
  • Audit internal Quality Systems and ensure customer requirements are met
  • Analyze quality metrics and drive action plans to close gaps
  • Develop/training in quality topics and support product development/launch activities
  • Develop and audit inspection/test plans, standards, and acceptance criteria
  • Investigate and eliminate quality problems; track corrective actions
  • Support hardware like gauges and test equipment selection and evaluation

Key requirements

  • Problem solving using Six Sigma, 8D and related statistical tools
  • Knowledge of Eaton’s Quality System requirements
  • Understanding of new product development and launch processes
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge (pFMEA, CTQs, control plans)
  • Familiarity with quality registration schemes (ISO9001, EASA Part 21, AS9100)
  • Auditing techniques for system/process compliance
  • Statistical data analysis and process improvement experience
  • Cross-functional leadership for process improvement teams
  • Advanced Excel/DB skills; Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
