Overview

In this role, you lead a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering integrated substance use services, focusing on prescribing and wellbeing clinics, governance, and safeguarding. You will drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement while upholding professional standards and conducting regular clinical supervision and training. You’ll influence service delivery, shape clinical excellence, and deliver meaningful outcomes for people with complex needs in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage prescribing and wellbeing clinics
  • Oversee clinical audits and safeguarding
  • Lead clinical governance and performance indicators
  • Drive continuous improvement across the service
  • Provide regular clinical supervision to nursing staff and conduct appraisals
  • Deliver high-quality training and ensure practice aligns with professional standards and the clinical code of conduct

Key requirements

  • Senior nurse with clinical experience in a drug and alcohol setting
  • Ability to engage and influence colleagues, commissioners, and service users
  • Working knowledge of safeguarding, substance use issues and legislation
  • NMC registered with an active PIN
