Overview

As Senior Power Engineer in Analog Design, you will lead the development and verification of spacecraft power subsystems, from concept through delivery and operation. You will work within a core mission team, collaborating with multiple disciplines to craft innovative power solutions across missions. The role emphasizes reliability, lifetime analysis, and fast, cradle-to-grave execution in a space environment. You’ll shape hardware solutions that meet demanding mission requirements while enabling cross-functional impact and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and translate requirements from top-level to module level
  • Design and deliver analogue/power electronics modules (e.g., battery regulators, distribution, drive electronics, DC-DC converters) for spacecraft
  • Manage and verify requirements across the lifecycle
  • Perform analyses (FMECA, WCA, PSA, reliability) to ensure mission lifetime resilience
  • Specify and execute hardware verification tests
  • Author test procedures and technical descriptions
  • Develop equipment for spacecraft (charger regulators, distribution modules, relays, motors, heaters, sensors)
  • Coordinate with cross-disciplinary leads to derive technical solutions

Key requirements

  • ≥5 years analogue/power electronics design experience, preferably in space/aerospace
  • Degree in Electronics or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of analogue and power electronics
  • Experience with microprocessor/FPGA interfacing
  • Broad knowledge of space-grade electronic components
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and simulation tools (Mentor Graphics, OrCAD PSPICE)
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to handle multiple projects and tight schedules
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills; strong communication abilities
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, results-driven environment
