Overview
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer in Stantec’s MEP team, you will lead aspects of project delivery and team management to grow our MEP offering in education and healthcare. You’ll drive work-winning activity with the Regional Director and MEP Lead, while developing client relationships and mentoring engineers. You’ll ensure quality, governance, and on-time delivery across projects, promoting a collaborative culture and technical excellence with a strong safety focus.

Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary MEP projects from inception to delivery to meet client specs, time, and budget
- Manage and grow a high-performing MEP team, embedding QA, governance, and resource planning
- Drive work-winning activities in collaboration with Regional Director and MEP Lead
- Maintain project health including safety, design quality, and client satisfaction
- Mentor team for technical excellence and drive process improvement
- Develop long-term client relationships in education and healthcare sectors
Key requirements
- Proven experience leading MEP teams and delivering complex building services projects
- Consultancy experience preferred
- Excellent commercial awareness and client management experience
- Strong understanding of client priorities in education and healthcare sectors
- Collaborative leadership style with commitment to team development
- Chartered engineer or working towards membership with a relevant institution (desirable)
