Overview

As an Associate Electrical Engineer in our Manchester Building Services (MEP) team, you will lead and deliver electrical design projects from concept to completion, shaping sustainable environments for diverse sectors. You’ll manage project teams, budgets, and client engagement to drive high-quality outputs and work-winning activities. You’ll develop electrical concepts, perform design calculations, and collaborate with internal and external teams to advance high-performance building design. This is a role with impact across the Northwest, backed by a collaborative, inclusive culture and clear career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary MEP projects from inception to delivery
  • Manage project team, deliverables, resourcing, programme and budget
  • Develop and oversee electrical concepts and detailed design solutions
  • Produce design calculations and ensure compliance with required standards
  • Lead project teams to deliver high-quality outputs
  • Champion inclusive, collaborative culture with internal and external design teams
  • Contribute to work-winning activities with MEP lead and Regional Director

Key requirements

  • Relevant qualification (HNC, HND, Bachelor’s, or Master’s)
  • Proven background leading Building Services design with an electrical focus
  • UK sector experience across healthcare, education, commercial, residential and/or industrial
  • Experience in people leadership, performance and development
  • Keen on business development and managing commercial responsibilities
  • Understanding of BIM processes, Revit proficiency, and Electrical OM/Amtech/Dialux
