Senior Consultant – Programme Management (Energy)

Overview

As a Senior Consultant in our Programme Management discipline, you lead mobilisation, assurance and delivery improvements for major capital programmes in the UK energy sector. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen governance, controls and delivery capability across cross-functional teams. The role offers visibility into high-value assignments, shaping delivery approaches and contributing to the growth of our advisory services. You will influence programme performance and help build sustainable PMO capability within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMO, governance and delivery-improvement workstreams on major capital programmes
• Design and embed governance, controls, reporting and assurance frameworks
• Provide challenging, practical advice on planning, risk, issues, dependencies and change
• Support senior client stakeholders with performance reporting and governance materials
• Mobilise and enhance PMO capability, including ways of working and management information
• Contribute to proposals, client presentations, thought leadership and business development
• Support and develop junior colleagues within the team

Key requirements

• Experience in programme management, PMO, project controls or capital delivery in consultancy or large-scale infrastructure
• Degree or equivalent professional experience in Project Management, Business Management, Engineering, Science or Technology
• Analytical, commercially aware, delivery-focused with ability to structure complex environments
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate insights effectively
