Overview

In this role you will lead multidisciplinary engineering programmes in the UK Nuclear sector, shaping strategy, pursuing opportunities, and delivering complex, high-profile projects. You will work with clients, partners, and the global Nuclear community to grow WSP’s capability and deliver meaningful outcomes across SMRs, AMRs, and major infrastructure programmes. You help build trusted relationships, drive technical excellence, and mentor teams in a collaborative, regulated environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering programmes from opportunity development through delivery
  • Develop integrated delivery approaches from concept/FEED through detailed design and implementation
  • Drive cross-discipline integration and stakeholder alignment
  • Support mobilisation and provide leadership in technically complex, highly regulated environments
  • Establish proportionate engineering governance and assurance activities
  • Lead engineering reviews, design integration and assurance
  • Grow Nuclear capability through recruitment, development and succession planning
  • Mentor engineers and project leaders across multidisciplinary teams
  • Support strategic pursuits, bids and client engagement
  • Contribute to strengthening WSP’s UK market position via opportunities and relationships

Key requirements

  • Leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on major Nuclear programmes
  • Developing and delivering engineering strategies through FEED, detailed design and implementation
  • Operating in highly regulated environments with governance and assurance
  • Supporting major pursuits, bids and client engagement
  • Managing delivery across geographically and organisationally complex teams
  • Experience in Engineering consultancy, major contractor/EPC, Nuclear operator, or major infrastructure environment
