Associate Sustainability Consultant

Overview

In this role you will lead a five-person Sustainability team in our London office, guiding projects across residential and commercial sectors. You will deliver strategic sustainability advice, focusing on whole life carbon and high-quality reporting. You will contribute to planning submissions and maintain strong client-facing communication with real estate investors. You will shape how projects meet sustainability goals, working with cross-functional teams to deliver client value and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five sustainability consultants in London.
• Provide strategic advice on sustainable development for residential and commercial projects.
• Develop and review reports on sustainability performance (e.g., whole life carbon).
• Prepare planning submissions and ensure high-quality documentation.
• Maintain client-facing interactions with commercial real estate investors and other stakeholders.
• Lead meetings and present findings to clients and investors.

Key requirements

• Strategic sustainability advisory experience.
• Strong report writing experience.
• Consultancy experience in real estate or related field.
• Experience with planning submissions.
• Client-facing experience with commercial real estate investors.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of whole life carbon and sustainability assessment methods.
• BREEAM knowledge is useful but not essential.
