Senior Consultant – SAP SuccessFactors, Government & Public Services

Overview

In this role you will help modernise core HR and payroll services for UK local authorities by configuring SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central against a standard baseline. You will work within Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice on a reusable, asset-backed delivery model, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to shape HR solutions. You’ll engage in workshops, testing, data migration, and knowledge transfer to drive efficient, scalable HR technology. The opportunity offers exposure to public sector delivery, AI-driven HR trends, and the chance to contribute to a growing SuccessFactors practice.

Responsibilities

• Configure SuccessFactors Employee Central against the standard baseline and document the solution
• Support Fit-to-Standard workshops, capture requirements, and identify deviations from standard design
• Build and execute unit and system test scripts; support user acceptance testing
• Assist data migration activities including data preparation, loading, and reconciliation
• Investigate and resolve defects during testing and hypercare
• Produce clear configuration and handover documentation to agreed standards
• Provide feedback to improve the reusable baseline and task library
• Support integrations across Payroll, Finance or Talent solutions (advantageous)
• Participate in client workshops, presentations, training and knowledge-transfer activities
• Stay informed on latest SuccessFactors releases and functionalities; contribute to thought leadership and sales support

Key requirements

• Hands-on Experience configuring SuccessFactors Employee Central on a full cycle implementation
• Experience across delivery lifecycle (testing, cutover, hypercare)
• Clear written communication and strong documentation
• Willingness to work to standard design and defined plan
• Desirable: SAP SuccessFactors certification in Employee Central
• Desirable: UK public sector delivery experience
• Desirable: Payroll configuration or parallel-run experience
• Desirable: Exposure to SAP Activate or similar methodologies
• BPSS/Security clearance may be required for some roles
