Business Systems Analyst – Metals Trading

Overview

As a senior Business Systems Analyst in our London metals team, you partner with traders, risk, operations and finance to translate trading and regulatory needs into solutions on Trinity by Quoreka and our data ecosystem. You will own end-to-end trade lifecycle analysis, deliver clear specifications, and ensure data integrity across systems. The role combines business insight with technical depth to enable compliant, efficient trading and reporting. You’ll work across global locations to shape solutions and drive value.

Responsibilities

• Bridge front-, middle-, and back-office with IT delivery to implement high-value metal trading solutions
• Lead requirements workshops and document as-is and to-be processes into specs, user stories, and process maps
• Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle on Trinity including trade capture, pricing, P&L, settlements, and regulatory reporting
• Author and optimize Oracle SQL queries for trade, position, P&L, and risk data; perform reconciliations
• Translate regulatory and position-management changes (LME, UK EMIR REFIT, MiFID II) into configuration and data-model requirements
• Manage a prioritized backlog of metals trading initiatives balancing trader needs, risk, and platform health
• Drive UAT planning, execution, defect management, and stakeholder sign-off for Trinity and related systems
• Evaluate solution options end-to-end ensuring policy, exchange rules, and regulations compliance
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across London, Wichita, and other Koch metals locations; communicate status and risks to leadership

Key requirements

• Several years of experience as a BA/BSA supporting a commodities trading business (metals preferred) with senior ownership
• Deep understanding of physical and financial metals trade lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of risk concepts relevant to metals trading (MTM, P&L attribution, exposure)
• Hands-on experience with one or more CTRM platforms across front/middle/back office
• Strong Oracle SQL ability to write and optimize complex production queries
• Strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills with pricing/valuations
• Proven ability translating requirements into functional specs, user stories, and process maps
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence at all levels and with vendors
